Once again, FUTSOC prepares to strongly highlight and highly regard top level academics for our membership.
As in years past, at FUTSOC we consider all attributes of a student athlete of great importance. While we accept, train, and develop young men in our beautiful sport of soccer, we also recognize the great importance of education in creating well rounded young men.
Always one injury away from a dream falling apart, we consider promoting academic excellence as the single most positive and significant avenue for a young person to become a truly productive and salient member of society. These times are becoming more challenging than ever, so the reliance upon sports alone does not constitute a best outcome scenario for our youths.
We truly stress and greatly encourage, that all our membership endeavor to meet the challenges of life with a balanced approach to their most important activities…sports and academics! We stand strongly with you the parents, in establishing a solid foundation for our children. We owe it to them…they deserve nothing less!
As such, FUTSOC will once again return its focus to rewarding top grade earners with a full soccer player profile (including interview and personal stats) to be displayed on our website as well as, a gift card to be used at a sports store for any latest goods available. Simply provide us a copy of your report card at each term end and those attaining straight A’s, will be duly recognized for their excellent achievements.
This is our way of saying that we value you, we respect you, and we encourage you!

The 2021 ENIGMA CUP International Youth Soccer Tournament was so successful, that it exceeded all expectations in terms of teams registered, people in attendance, and the multiple facilities utilized to manage the event. With nearly 400 teams in attendance, playing over 650 games, and with over 30,000 people in attendance, our 4th year event was highly complimented with all type of superlatives by players, coaches and clubs in Florida, the U.S. and internationally!
As a result of the success, and the general composition of the event, our young tournament has grown from a Silver Rated tournament all the way to a Premier Rated tournament in the span of only four years. This is virtually unheard of and will continue to define the future for our internationally recognized youth soccer tournament.
At FUTSOC, we continue to evolve, seeking additional ways to bring this event to the players, the clubs, and the spectators, in a manner consistent with bringing them closer to the core of what we envision as the future of tournament play and support activities. The focus will always be entirely on the qualitative measures, the optimal competitive level of play, and the general enjoyment of all who attend. The idea is that we will trend toward an exciting festival environment, which celebrates the wonderful game, and which will keep all visitors within our beautiful city before, during and after games are played.
ENIGMA CUP is gaining momentum every day and word is circulating everywhere about the most successful and exciting event in youth soccer. We are proud, excited, and already planning the next level event…2022 ENIGMA CUP!

When you decide to play soccer for a club, you become part of something bigger than yourself. If done right, you become part of a family.
At FUTSOC we pride ourselves first and foremost on the unique bonds we form with all of the players who have participated in our 20 year history. We are so proud of every one who has come through our hands. We proudly share their names on our FUTSOC Alumni wall. They become part of the FUTSOC family.

One of those players was, Diego Ortiz.
Throughout the years you share moments and build countless memories with many players from all different walks of life. Beyond that, there are those few players who stand the test of time. Those who embody the club’s spirit.
Diego Ortiz came to us roughly 6 years ago. Always eager to learn, grow and to be the best he could be, it didn’t take long at all for Diego to quickly make his mark with all of his teammates along with all of the staff at FUTSOC.
Diego was always one who worked hard on and off the field and in life. He was young man with an incredibly big heart and an infectious personality who instantly made people feel welcome and part of something bigger than themselves. Most importantly, Diego was a great young man, a true friend and a wonderful son.
His spirit lives on through the countless memories shared at FUTSOC.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families and friends affected by this horrible tragedy.
Please help support Diego’s family in this trying time by donating and sharing this link to help offset many costs that they will incur in the months to come.

The 2020 Weston Cup was a resounding success for our FUTSOC Club at all levels of play. A nationally recognized youth soccer tournament, Weston Cup attracts the finest teams from Florida, the U.S. and internationally. To this end, we entered four teams in the U11, U12, U14 and U17 categories, with TWO of our teams reaching the championship finals.
This yearly event, used to measure our team’s growth and development, serves as a clear indicator of our physical development, tactical understanding for the older age groups, technical proficiency for our younger teams and an overall grasp of play concepts.

This year was no different, as two of our teams, developed over the years, attained the finals of yet another tournament…a clear reflection on the individual and collective growth and maturation of our players. As is our norm, the FUTSOC process continues to yield the expected results, all while providing the players with absolute enjoyment and an enhanced competitive process. It is certainly noteworthy, that our teams were paired with teams with superior rankings and experience and yet, we were able to outright win our respective groupings in two greatly competitive age groups.
Both our U14 and U17 FUTALAN Boys each attained 2 wins, 1 tie and 0 losses, in group stage to advance to the championship games. Their performances were successively superior and worthy of praise even from opposing coaches (and our own coaches) as well as, general observers and evaluators in attendance. These were hoped for qualitative objectives, which in turn produced the most positive results.

Our U12 boys were placed in a very difficult grouping, winning the opening match by the score of 2::1, losing by the minimum 0::1 in game two and in the third match, losing 0::2. These were very competitive matches, which required maximum efforts from our boys and unfortunately, fell short of our anticipated goals. However, the performances were truly solid and showed the continued progress which the team continues to exhibit.
With the measured progress exhibited in this event, Miramar Cup and Showcase will serve as our next excellent challenge and will be held on the 7rh and 8th of March, where our hosts are very excited to have our teams compete.
In closing, I wish to thank you all for your dedicated support of our coaches efforts and understand that we continue on our mission to develop our fine young student athletes / players (your children) with excellent attention to their emotional, psychological and physical development…all while inspiring their passion and excitement…and most importantly, while having much FUN!
Serious soccer made FUN!

The summer of 2019 saw the return of the historically popular FUTSOC Summer Soccer Program, which had run for 22 consecutive years in the City of Weston. Declining interest from previous generations forced the closure of the camps, until now. A renewed interest in soccer training and fun activities during the summer months, and by popular demand, FUTSOC renewed its commitment to the summer activities for club and non-club members, offering the 6-week program from June through August.
With average attendances of over 35 participants, the program once again established its foothold in the desolate summer activities, by providing a.m. physical and technical training sessions and p.m. tactical and general games. The newly renovated soccer room was an excellent compliment to our program as it is brand new, air conditioned, spacious and equipped with ample tables, chairs and lockers. Furthermore, we provided the participants with television options for video games, lunch time movies and a foosball table, all of which amply distracted them during arrival to the program, lunch and moments of inclement and/or extreme temperatures.
In summary, the program was a resounding success, and we are currently entertaining the offering of the winter and spring programs, as well as the return of the summer soccer program for 2020.

FUTSOC is proud to announce that we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary since establishing our elite level club in 1999. Starting as a small grouping of players in forming a premier elite one team organization, which gained national and international recognition, over the years we have developed into a complete competitive club serving all age groups at the foundational, youth and amateur levels.
While we have evolved into a respected organization, competing with the top clubs in the area, region, national and international arena at some of the finest tournaments and with membership which draws children from age 5 all the way to age 23, we have endeavored to keep our club deliberately small (“boutique”) in size, stressing the qualitative factors over quantitative ones, while adhering to the motto of “serious soccer made fun”.
Current soccer clubs nationwide seem to have ignored the very basic essence of youth sports, by favoring the ultra-competitive, unrealistic scenario of success at all costs, pressuring youths to unrealistic expectations leading to inevitable “burnout”. This has further led to a huge decline in sports participation and an alarming 75% drop out rate by age 15 (according to US Youth Soccer statistics). Noteworthy to all, after decades of club direction / management and over four decades coaching experience as well as, actual, verifiable statistics we have all been alerted to the fact that most players will NOT play competitively beyond high school and even less at the Olympic or professional level. See official NCAA statistics below:
http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/research/probability-competing-beyond-high-school
2019 NCAA Estimated Probability of Competing in College Athletics
During this exciting tenure, we have expanded our club activities by hosting our own highly rated international youth soccer tournament – ENIGMA CUP, which in only two years is now a solid Gold Rated event, which ranks it among the top 15 percent in the State of Florida…a significant achievement in such a short period of time.
Furthermore, we have re-started our long-running and highly popular camp Summer Soccer Program with great success and do expect to provide the Winter and Spring summer program versions as well, which were historically in such high demand over the years.
With great anticipation, and in a strong partnership between student athletes, parents and coaches, we aspire to another successful season in 2019-2020. This 20th season promises to provide the same level of dedicated professional training, exciting competitive matches and events and the absolute continued adherence to our most basic concept of enjoyment – FUN!
We wish to thank the thousands of student athletes, supporting parents and committed coaches, who have graced our club over the past 20 years since our founding. You have generously helped it develop and mature to its current level and we aspire to that same continued support as we enter the next exciting stages for our club.

Similar to how our FUTSOC FUTALAN U16’s started the last event, our boys had a convincing 2-0 win over South Kendall Sun Blazers, with second striker Alessandro Coletta scoring the opening goal with a quick turn and shot, and the assist coming from stopper Samuel Figuiera in the middle of the field.
In the second half, our boys dominated play and picked up a second goal, this time by center midfielder Guilerme Lazzarini on a tap-in just next to the keeper from a cross by Camilo Lozano.
Game 2 saw a tough match, which resulted in a 2-1 defeat to Cyclones Hollywood,… with the lone goal coming from Alejandro Papparoni off a blocked shot of Center Back Gabriel Calleja, which saw him get the ball and score in the box. Cyclones came back a bit later to tie it up at the half and near the end midpoint of the second half they ripped a shot sailed through our keeper Bruno Falco’s opem arms.
In game 3, the boys played locals West Pines Utd., who were nearing elimination from the tournament and so we pulled out a tough fought win. With playmakers Camilo Lozano and Diego Quintero on the wings, the boys made their way up the field with great combinations, but could not find the net or connect with forwards Sebastian Pombo and Franco Yezzi. In the dying minutes of the game, Tomas Cevallos was taken down in the box leaving a golden opporrunity for Alessandro Coletta to score the penalty for 1-0 to victory which advanced them to the final.
In the ENIGMA CUP Championship Final, the FUTSOC FUTALAN U16 Yellow boys went up against Cyclones Hollywood. The game would prove to be a tough re-match, defined by just one error, that resulted in the sole score of the match. Both teams played extremely well with great combinations and physical play. The respected opponent played a very similar style to our own, which made the game much tougher. In the end, our boys lost 1-0, but played incredibly well to the entire satisfaction of the players coaches and parents in attendance!
Congratulations to our wonderful boys…Finalists (Sub- Campeones)!!

The FUTSOC Bambinos U10’s participated in the nationally acclaimed ENIGMA CUP on Memorial Day weekend. With the 2019 ENIGMA CUP being the first competitive event for the Bambinos U10’s, the coach and children were all anxious to see how the weekend would unfold. The weekend would prove to be a most special one for the boys of the FUTSOC Bambinos!
The Bambinos Academy, which focuses on development for kids U7-U10 [now only U7/U8 starting the 2019/2020 season], does not compete in competitive events until they graduate to the Youth Academy portion of the club, which begins at the U9/U10 age level.
Game 1:
The event opened up with the first game being played against Athletic Miami Orange, a strong side. The Bambinos started off strong, establishing dominance in the first half of the game, taking a 1-0 lead right before the half with a beautiful goal by Marcos R. lobbing the goal keeper! The 2nd half Athletic Miami started to take over possession and soon equalized the score. The Bambinos now started to rally back and relentlessly countered until a last minute goal, scored by Finlay S., led the FUTSOC Bambinos to the first victory!
Game 2:

Game number two the boys were pitted up against the Bay Lions FSC. Unbeknownst to the Bambinos, they would soon meet in the final for an incredible rematch. Much like game one, the FUTSOC Bambinos took an early lead with a goal by Finlay S. Opening the second half, the Bay Lions began their aggressive play and started to pressure the boys. With around 10 minutes left, the Bay Lions scored on a corner kick equalizing the game and ultimately finishing up in a tie.
Game 3:
The FUTSOC Bambinos met the Hollywood Cyclones in game three. They played incredibly well, dominating their opponents entirely winning the game 3-0 with two goals by Benicio D. S. and one goal by Davi S. C.
Championship Match:
The final proved to be a most thrilling match. The FUTSOC Bambinos were matched up, once more, against the Bay Lions FSC. Much like the entire tournament, the Bambinos took hold of the game early on with an early goal by Leonardo G. who scored just outside the box making the game 1-0. Not more than 5 minutes later, Finlay S. scored a beautiful free kick with an assist by Marcos R. The Bambinos would take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The second half proved to be quite a thriller! Bay Lions FSC began to spread the field and began counter attacking very quickly. The Bambinos would respond with strong possession and take control of the midfield. Both the FUTSOC Bambinos and Bay Lions FSC exchanged very close chances to score. Bay Lions cracked the net with 10 minutes left making the game 2-1. The last 10 minutes saw many close opportunities by both teams, but in the end the FUTSOC Bambinos held on to their 2-1 lead and were crowned Champions of the 2019 ENIGMA CUP!

This weekend, our FUTSOC FUTALAN YELLOW (U12 Boys) attended the inaugural PRO SOCCER USA YOUTH CUP presented by PUBLIX. In a very competitive bracket, which pitted LaBelle heat FC, River Plate FC and Doral FC with our boys. It was our very young squad, which led the charge, by winning group play with nine points, on the strength of three consecutive victories by scores of 3::0, 3::1 and 3::1, respectively.
In the Championship match, our squad met up with the Labelle Heat FC team once again, in a very competitive match played under unusually high temperatures at Bamford Park in Davie, Fl. The first half was dominated by our boys, with wave after wave of attacks down the flanks and through the middle. The strong opponent was contained throughout the first half, limited to only a few shots on goal.
The second half showed continued domination by our boys, who even though they seemed to be a bit more sluggish and disorganized, contained the opponent to a few opportunities on goal. Eventually, a counterattack caught us disorganized in the back and an error, allowed for a screaming shot, which hugged the turf right under the outstretched body of our outstanding keeper for a 0::1 score. With our boys on full attack in the waning moments of the game, a second tally was scored to finalize the match at 0::2. This was an outstanding performance for our young boys, who were mostly a year younger than the bracketed teams. This was a second consecutive final for our very talented boys, after winning the Miramar Cup last month!
Congratulations to our FUTSOC FUTALAN YELLOW (U12 Boys)

The 40th Anniversary of the world-renowned Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup was a veritable global celebration of top-level international competition and cultural diversity and unity. Hosting clubs from all reaches of the globe, this year’s event was nothing short of spectacular, with an announced crowd of nearly 39,000 people in attendance at the world-famous Cotton Bowl inauguration ceremonies.
Our group, consisting of a top-level selection of quality sides, included: Everton FC of England, Botafogo FC of Brasil (Golden State FC), Dallas Texans FC and our own FUTSOC ENIGMA.
Departing Fort Lauderdale due to weather delays and arriving in Dallas, Texas – after massive flight delays due to extreme weather conditions present in the Dallas area (lightning, thunderstorms, hail and tornados), our flight was diverted to Houston, where we further experienced another three and one half hour delays on-board the aircraft and then deboarding to the terminal. A flight that should have reached its destination at 10:45 am, ended up arriving at 5:30 pm!!
Opening day, our first opponent was the internationally renowned side – Everton FC of England. A very difficult match compounded by the previous travel complications, resulted in a sluggish end to a strong first half performance. Allowing a goal in the 21st minute of the first half, giving our respected opponent an early 0::1 lead, our boys dominated play through most of the period. Opening the 2nd half down a goal, our boys came out very spirited and once again dominated play early on, only to commit a very uncommon mistake making a poor clear which was collected by the waiting winger, who aptly fired into our net – a 0::2 lead at that point. On the final score, Everton FC caught our defensive line resting up high and having the ball barely clear over top to the finely timed run by the opposing striker and thus taking a 0::3 lead at that point, which would stand to the very end. Overall a disappointing result for an opening match, despite a 60/40 dominance by our squad and many scoring opportunities.
In Game No. 2, the vaunted Golden State FC (Botafogo FC of Brasil) awaited. A three-time national champion of the USYSA National Cup and two-time Dallas Cup Champion U19 of the last three editions awaited. Having won their opener by a score of 9::0 against a solid Dallas Texans, a titanic battle awaited. Two years earlier, our ENIGMA boys upset the defending national champions 0::2 in a much-heralded match, which derailed their Dallas Cup and USYSA National Championship aspirations. This time, the task at hand was not any easier, but our boys were most definitely up for the challenge. After holding against a constant barrage of wave after wave of surgical attacks and keeping the fine opponent scoreless, we began domination of the mid sector of the field and imposing our challenges to their defense…arriving to their goal area with greater frequency! The first half concluded with a fair 0::0 result as both teams were attempting to seek out each team’s weaknesses. In the second half, our team thrust forward and took the match to the powerful opponent and created many opportunities and shot after shot. In the 75th minute our most penetrating attack, resulted in a powerful strike that bounced off their crossbar and initiated their immediate counterattack, which resulted in the only score of the match, a lead that they would hold to the very end and a 0::1.
Our final match was played under very extreme wind conditions at the pristine MoneyGram Park, against Dallas Texans. At this point a meaningless match in terms of qualification to next round play, the game was most uninspiring and was entirely dominated by our squad. Wave after wave of attacks, three crossbars and two posts, as well as six passes in front of the goal mouth, which were overrun time after time due to the present weather patterns, resulted in a final 0::0.
Eliminated from group play, our next challenges were two matches against other eliminated squads (the “Dallas Cup Way”). The first match against a very talented and highly nationally ranked club from California – Corona FC. The match was very intense as we played to our very best-level to date at the event, taking a comfortable 3::0 lead. – at which time we started rotating all our substitutes and giving all ample opportunity to play against top level competition. It was a very solid performance coming off the heels of the wind affected match a day earlier.
Unable to find another suitable time to schedule another friendly – once again due to the incessant rescheduling resulting from weather conditions affecting the tournament, we decided to play back to back matches and thus added Gateway FC (another Brasilian squad) as our final opponent. Our boys, already tired from playing three consecutive matches in two days (two matches back to back within four hours), came out with renewed energy and basically dominated play throughout the match, only to succumb to the fine opponent by the score of 1::2! A very gutsy performance to have played back to back 90-minute matches within a five-hour span!
In the end, we played five (5) top level matches against some of the best competition internationally – teams from England, Mexico, Brasil and the U.S. The results were qualitatively excellent, and we lost to the 2019 Dallas Cup U19 Champions by the minimal score of 0::1 in what was their closest and most difficult match of the entire event. New friendships were forged, cultural exchanges were most prominent and unforgettable memories were established for a lifetime! Lastly, one of the absolute greatest factors benefiting attendance at this yearly global showcase, is the identification and evaluation of players by myriad coaches and technical directors from all over the world. To this end, FUTSOC ENIGMA once again had players selected for potential scholarships to colleges in the U.S. – six players were identified and are currently in process to decide on their futures in soccer at the collegiate level.
Congratulations on a great 2019 Dallas Cup!!

FUTSOC FUTALAN – YELLOW (2007) participated in the Miramar Cup this past weekend under head coach Diego Castillo. The boys were up against Miramar United Elite FC to kick off the tournament. FUTSOC lost to them 3-2 in the Weston Cup so this game started off at a very fast pace early on. We took a 2-0 lead early on with some great counter attacks and ended the half 2-1.
The second half was filled with very high pressure and we managed to get a third one in to get a hold of the game. The final result was 4-2 beating a very fast and technical team. The boys had to play back to back games with a scorching sun and faced Miami Strike Force in the second game. The opponent was very fast and found ways to break our defense down early on so we had to adjust and held them to a 3-1 score at half time. Early on in the second half we found our rhythm and scored quick goal to make it 3-2. We had the momentum going our way but a couple defensive breakdowns and they scored 2 more goals to make it 5-2.
Early morning Sunday we were up against Real Miami who was the leader o the bracket with 6 points. We knew the game was a must win and it had to be by 2 goals or more to have a chance at winning the bracket and going to the final. After some lineup changes and a pep talk, FUTSOC went out there hungrier than ever. Scoring the first goal 45 seconds in. Things turned when the other team started pushing our defense back and scored 2 quick goals. It was 2-1 at halftime. Coach Castillo kept telling the team to not give up and once they tie the game, it will come from there. Early in the second half and we managed to tie it 2-2 and quickly after use the momentum to go up 3-2. The opponent who was very talented could not break our defense and midfield which was the plan all along. With 2 minutes to play, a beautiful passing sequence on the left side ended up in a penalty which we converted to make it 4-2! At that moment, we knew we were top of our bracket and just needed the team ‘River Plate’ to beat Miami Strike Force, which they did – giving us the ticket to the final against River Plate who won all 3 games in their group.
We went into this final with the same game plan and the game was tight for the first 3 quarters, with FUTSOC dominating with more shots on goal. With 3 minutes to go, we brought the pressure to them and got a corner, who our captain Findlay Sage took and managed to get the ball in the net for the 1-0. This is where our team showed great character, holding down their territory and shutting down the team with the most goals all tournament to be MIRAMAR CUP CHAMPIONS! We are extremely proud of our players and this was very well deserved after 4 intense games.
First of many more.
January 21st, 2019

This weekend, the Tequesta Trace Park in the City of Weston, was the site of the 2018 FUTSOC ENIGMA Friendlies, hosting storied clubs from overseas – PLAYPRO Academy 2001 from Montevideo, Uruguay and CIEX Sports Academy 2000 from Guayaquil, Ecuador, as well as local powerhouse Juventus FC 2001, along with our own resident team – FUTSOC ENIGMA Reserves 2002.
Structured into a four-team format – two semi-finals, a 3rd place match and the Championship match, the four teams were pitted so that the foreign visiting teams each played a local squad. In the opening matches, the strong, older CIEX Sports Academy 2000 squad was pitted against our younger FUTSOC ENIGMA Reserves 2002, in a match which saw two strong opponents battle up and down the field and hold to a 1::1 halftime result. The second half, saw the talented opponent take more control of the midfield, generating dangerous runs which eventually found their way to three second have goals. With only 11 players in attendance due to school commitments for our local boys, the physical output was simply too great to hold off the strong opponent for an entire match. However, in the final quarter of the contest, FUTSOC ENIGMA Reserves 2002 found the net on a breakaway to draw closer to 2::3. A final tally at game end, netted a final victory for our talented guests from South America and a final score of 2::4.
In the other semi-final match, Juventus FC 2001 received the powerful squad from Uruguay – PLAYPRO Academy 2001. In what proved to be an excellent, technically solid match. The visiting team struggled with the local powerhouse at the start of the match, finding the local team’s speed and tactical structure very complex. Gradually, adjusting to the opponent’s game play, the talented visitors adapted and adjusted, however, by then the game was out of hand with a resulting in a 4::1 victory by the strong Juventus FC 2001 squad.
In the 3rd place match, our sister team from Uruguay – PLAYPRO Academy 2001 met our young, talented and by now, depleted team in what was a solid match from the outset. Ending the first half with a 1::1 tie, the match was tight and hotly contested. However, in the second half, with another player off due to injury, our boys played with 10 against a very strong PLAYPRO Academy 2001 and in the end succumbed by the score of 1::4.
In the Championship match, Juventus FC 2001 was pitted against CIEX Sports Academy 2000 in a final which promised to be very contested, as both teams were technically proficient, dynamic and very physical. A struggle of a match for both sides, the CIEX Sports Academy 2000 boys jumped ahead 1:0 on a breakaway and cross to the box for a tap in. Juventus FC 2001 responded with the equalizer a few minutes later…and a 1::1 tie at halftime. The second half saw both teams make penetrating runs and physically contest every ball on both ends of the field and finally the CIEX Sports Academy 2000 boys broke away and added a tally to up the score to 2::1. At this point, CIEX Sports Academy 2000 was taking command of the match and it looked like they would take a greater lead. However, a strong stand by the stout Juventus FC 2001 defense held the opponent at bay and countered with a lightning counterattack to even the match at 2::2. With minutes remaining in the match and everything riding on a mistake by either side, CIEX Sports Academy 2000 finally broke though on a dispossessed ball by the opponent recovered at the midfield and the final shot on goal for a 3::2 victory over the proud local side and the capture of the Championship match of the 2018 FUTSOC ENIGMA Friendlies.
Congratulations to all participating clubs and our great appreciation for your having made this event a great success. Over a dozen scouts present were rewarded with solid matches and thus presented an abundance of recruitment options for college-oriented student athletes. Our sincerest appreciation for all who helped make this event such a great success

FUTSOC (FIRA) opened the new season in the Gold Coast League, with a well contested victory over the strong Lauderdale FC squad. Taking an early lead of 1::0, our boys added a second goal in the first half to take a strong lead into the 45-minute mark. In the second half, our boys improved collective play and exhibited greater control over the match, thwarting numerous attempts until a breakaway shot brought our opponents to within a one score game. Five minutes later, a strong combination-play from the back third, resulted in a deep cross from the corner into the area, for a final tap in and a 3::1 lead. A last minute effort by our strong opponent, resulted in a goal from the perimeter for a final score for FUTSOC (FIRA) of 3::2 .
In only our second match of the young season, our squad met a very organized and disciplined Himmarshee FC club in what was a very well-played match at Cypress Park. Under very hot temperatures in the upper 90’s, the young squad was able to pull out a 2::1 victory in the last minutes, with a spectacular breakaway goal off of a series of individual dribbles in the upper third of the field. A tightly contested ninety-minute match, which had some outstanding individualities, clearly showed our domination for most of the game.
Last week in a match up of two of the top teams in the league, FUTSOC (FIRA) was able to knock off a powerful SFE FC Predators by a score of 3::2. A match which was mostly dominated by our young squad and which was wrapped up by the beginning of the second half. Our boys played hard and determined, despite searing temperatures nearing 100 degrees. They now rest in second place with only three matches played.
The team continues its perfect season with a 3-0-0 record heading into another colossal match up against Boca FC next weekend. Come out and Support FUTSOC!

Coming off the successes of last season – tremendous progression of our teams and specifically our players, the successful conclusion with a multiple string of successes at various events (including the championship victory at our own inaugural 2018 ENIGMA CUP) and with the upcoming 2018-2019 season upon us, we have decided to re-brand our already attractive appearance into an even more exciting and dynamic one, which best consolidates our total brand into one cohesive and modern vision…and image.
The introduction of our totally renovated website platform, which offers a greatly enhanced functionality and restructuring of content for more efficient and fluid navigation, in consonance with the introduction of our newly designed uniform kits, is unyielding testament to our continued qualitative and quantitative growth, proven maturation and forward vision, as we evolve into new working partnerships and relationships with established global organizations positioned to assist us all in mutually beneficial associations for our club members.
In an effort to help our members attain their anticipated successes, we will present them with the optimal array of options, for them to avail themselves of. While we have consistently provided a fun, exciting environment for our members to participate in exciting competitive play, it has also been our documented history, that we have succeeded greatly in elevating these student athletes to achieve those lofty goals for college and university play levels or beyond. This has been and will always be, our dedicated propose and our mission to date!

FUTSOC will be unveiling its newest uniform, symbolic of the ever-changing progression and evolution of our club. Adding new alliances with our club and enhancing the scope of our reach internationally, a new image was devised that would best represent the forward thrust which FUTSOC is carrying, as we enter the upcoming season. The uniforms are very modern, attractive and minimalist in design, something which mirrors the philosophy of our small, yet renowned club.

FUTSOC Futalan Yellow 2002 Boys opened up the tournament with a strong performance against MST United Stars holding a 0-0 draw. FUTSOC goalkeeper, Antono Perera, kept the scoreboard at zero with a handful of brilliant saves.
Following this difficult match FUTSOC took on Schulz Academy with a significantly dominant performance. During a quick 25 minute barrage, FUTSOC went up by two with goals by Captain -and defensive midfielder – Rafael Ferrer, and striker – Paul Quintero. FUTSOCwould hold that result for the remainder of the match, clinching 3 more points in the group stage.
The third game of the tournament, had FUTSOC heavily depleted, with numerous players out due to injuries. With only 11 men, FUTSOC had a difficult time pulling out a result against Athletico Deerfield, holding a 0-0 first half score. Athletico Deerfield caught FUTSOC off guard in the late stages of the second half with two quick goals, leaving FUTSOC out of contention for the final. It wasnt until the 75th minute that striker, Giuseppe Petruso sunk one in the back of the net off of a deflected cross. FUTSOC would finish the match with a 2-1 loss, however advanced to the final off a second tie breaker (goals scored).
The Sunday morning final, a rematch against Schulz Academy, prooved to be a very tough match. FUTSOC still, riddled with injuries, started the game slowly but due to another solid performance by the FUTSOC defense and goalkeeping, kept the game scoreless going into the second half. With opportunity after opportunity not going FUTSOC’s way, it was looking as if this game was going into overtime. That was until the 71st minute, when striker Paul Quintero split the defense with a beautiful pass to striker – Daniel Pimentel, who placed it perfectly in the top right corner of the net, to give FUTSOC the championship victory with a final result of 1-0.
Congratulations to the FUTSOC boys who performed admirably, never giving up with all the odds stacked against them. They persevered and were rewarded for their fantastic heart and effort. This is the second tournament final in a row and their first tournament victory of the season.

It is with the greatest pride, that I announce to all that my brilliant son, Coach and Webmaster Armando “Mandy” Tamayo and the FUTSOC website, were recognized by the world-renowned NBC Sports Engine Platform with the No. 2 soccer website in their membership, in the entire globe. This recognition is even more special, considering there were over half a million websites in consideration, where our platform was up against a vast grouping of organizations, clubs and teams…most of them much larger in scope and size and with tremendous operating budgets.
Coach Armando has always received great accolades for all the previous websites he has designed and implemented from scratch. However, this website gem is being recognized and judged by the premier sports management platform, owned by one of the largest television networks in the world – NBC and its subsidiary, the NBC Sports Group Company.
This has always been a special mission for Armando, as he devotes his energies to matching our club performances on the field, to the extraordinary visual presentations on the internet. Our presentation of FUTSOC to the world, begins with the spectacular window into our club, through the original design scheme, extensive content, coaches, recruiting and team pages, functional navigation as well as, the vast variety of topics and bonus content.
Armando, we are all in awe of your unyielding efforts, your consistent dedication and your sheer knowledge and unlimited creativity. Along with your brothers Francisco and Carlo, who have aided you, supported you and helped you broaden your scope along the way, you are the window through which our proud FUTSOC can be observed. You have made all of us proud beyond description and the recognition is absolutely, most deserving!

Our FUTSOC FUTALAN U16 Boys performed valiantly this weekend at the 2018 Sting Cup, playing for the title in the Championship match.
Game 1
FUTSOC started the game a bit slow, taking the first half to pick up steam and get into rhythm. Scoring opportunities just couldn’t find the back of the net, until Giuseppe Petruso threaded a shot right between the keeper and the near post after a beautiful assist by Daniel Pimentel. FUTSOC began to really take over the match at this point, but still had difficulty putting away more chances. West Pines tied the match on the final play of the game after a cross in the box took an odd bounce and caught the goalkeeper off guard.
Final Result: 1-1
Game 2
Miramar United was the opponent in this match and again, FUTSOC just couldn’t find their style of play early on. Miramar’s speed up top proved a difficult task to the FUTSOC defense. As much as they bent though, they didn’t break. A quick counter attack through the left flank gave FUTSOC the only goal of the match, finished by Jose Izarra. Miramar really brought the pressure in the final minutes, but the FUTSOC defense held.
Final Result: 1-0
Game 3
Sunday mornings match against Schulz Academy the deciding match of the tournament, winner would play for the championship later that day. FUTSOC came out of the blocks ready to play. Many opportunities drifted wide of the goal, but a beautifully placed 30-yard shot by captain Rafael Ferrer rattled the bottom right corner of the post as FUTSOC went up 1-0 in the opening half. FUTSOC continued to control the game allowing only 4 shots. As the game came to a close defensive midfielder, Carlos Jimenez dribbled his way through four defenders inside the Schulz Academy box and curled a shot past the keeper, to add another to the score tally.
Final result: 2-0
Game 4 (Championship)
A rematch against West Pined United was the matchup for the final of the 2018 Sting Cup. FUTSOC started the game hungry and dominated the midfield from the start to the end of the game. Although FUTSOC controlled the game, West Pines’ quick long balls to speedy strikers gave them some lethal opportunities. Two opportunities resulting in a penalty kick and a red card desperation tackle by FUTSOC center back, Tomas Sevilla. West Pines leads at half time 1-0. FUTSOC, being a man down really picked up the pace and controlled the ball, weaving in and out of the opponent at will. The chances were continuing to pile up and it was only a matter of time until FUTSOC saw the net. They did just that after an attacking opportunity resulted in a penalty kick, scored by captain, Rafael Ferrer. FUTSOC continued to maneuver the ball with precision and flair, until disaster stuck. Defenders, Rafael Ferrer and Daniel Pimentel’s heads collided at the 70th minute, leaving them out of the remainder of the games with suspected concussions by onsite staff and coaches. With 20 minutes left in regulation, down one man, and losing three starting defenders, FUTSOC pulled what can only be described as the most beautiful performance the team has ever produced for the remainder of the game. A total team performance saw FUTSOC shine as they weaved the ball through the West Pines squad, leaving one player making a comment to his coach, “What am I supposed to do against that?”. with opportunity after opportunity created, FUTSOC still struggled to find the back of the net leaving the second half whistle with a 1-1 result. Overtime saw no changes as FUTSOC continued its dominance but couldn’t finish opportunities. A notable one-on-one save in open space by goalkeeper, Antonio Perera, kept FUTSOC alive in the second period of over time. This left the game tied, going to a penalty shootout. Unfortunately, one beautiful save by the West Pines United Goalkeeper and a perfect score sheet on the West Pines side left them victorious.
Final Result: 1-1 (5-4 p.k.)
Overall the tournament was a huge success for the FUTSOC boys. The team’s ability to grow and improve throughout the season has been wonderful. They will continue to learn, develop, and grow as players. The potential in this team is endless and we, as a club, are proud to call these boys FUTSOC players.

Our vaunted FUTSOC ENIGMA – U19 team attended the recently concluded 2018 Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup, performing admirably in one of the toughest groupings this year. Placed in the group with Mexico’s powerful PREPATEC of Monterrey, IKAPA FC of South Africa and HOUSTON DYNAMO FC USSF US Development Academy, the matches were every bit as tough as expected.
Attended by multitudes of fans, college coaches and professional evaluators, we opened with a strong match against the highly respected PREPATEC of Monterrey in a hard fought game, which started with a balanced match in the first half, to a second half mostly controlled by our boys and limited by the outstanding goalkeeper play by our most respected opponent…and ending with the final score of 1::1.
In the second game, FUTSOC met a very inspired and talented IKAPA FC team, joining in from the other side of the world (South Africa). After the first ten minutes of the match – when both teams were sizing each other up, we broke open the match with a blistering 30 meter shot in the 21st minute and followed up with a thrashing of three more goals in the second half, which ultimately gave our side the 4::0 victory and an additional three points to lead the group table after two matches.
In what became the deciding match of the group, we met the highly ranked Houston Dynamos U19 USSF Academy. In a game entirely dominated by our boys, we unfortunately missed on many chances to score, missing on 7 one-on-ones with their goalkeeper, who made many spectacular saves and all afternoon. Two posts and one clear miss later by our boys and with both teams attempting to find the net for the goal which would lead to passage to quarterfinals, the tough opponent found the net in the 93rd minute off a corner kick.
In what turned out to be a formidable event once again, the silver lining resulted when ultimately two players were selected by professional scouts – one to Mansfield FC in the English first division and one to Portland Timbers of the MLS. In addition, and one of our greatest sources of pride every year, we had 17 colleges and universities (University of North Carolina, Wayland Baptist University, Louisiana State University – Eunice, Brookhaven College, St, John’s Univ., Keystone College and Oklahoma City University inquire about nine of our players…a most successful event. We are very proud of our boys and look forward to following their path to the final academic institution of their choice.
Congratulations to our boys for another successful Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup with the elite teams of the world!

FUTSOC Futalan U16 Yellow Boys played a very tough friendly match against Parkland U16 Red on Saturday, April 21, 2018. FUTSOC started the game slowly and were put on their heels quickly. Parkland opened the scoring in the first half catching the FUTSOC defense off guard and snuck one into the back of the net. As FUTSOC struggled to keep up with the Parkland pace, they got caught on a quick counter attack putting them down 2-0 going into half time. In the second half FUTSOC woke up and started to move the ball and control the game. With a beautiful passing combination finishing with a cross from Juan Aguirre and a volley finish by Jose Izarra, FUTSOC found their way onto the score board and continued to improve. Center Back – Tomas Sevilla then caught the Parkland keeper off guard with a 40m shot that ringed the cross bar to equalize the game. FUTSOC continued to dominate the second half with plenty of opportunities. As the game was coming to a close, Center Midfielder – Pau Catala was tackled inside the box and a penalty kick was awarded. Rafael Ferrer, with a beautifully placed penalty gave FUTSOC the game winner in the closing seconds of the game. FUTSOC finished victorious 3-2 over Parkland. The game is a testament of the hard work and perseverance of this FUTSOC team and the FUTSOC philosophy!
GOAL #2 – TOMAS SEVILLA
GOAL #3 – RAFAEL FERRER

This weekend our U14 FUTSOC Futalan squad faced a tough task playing against some of the top teams, at the World Cup Championships hosted at Tradewinds Park. In the opening game, the boys played CES Juventus, which have been to the final in all the tournaments they have attended. A very difficult match, it was most demanding given the opponents quality and the searing temperatures at game time. A very close match in the first half, ended in a well-played 1::1 tie. In the 2nd half, our boys (limited on subs) gradually let the game be taken over by the stronger opponent, with a final score of 4::1. Our lone goal was scored by Shane Grogan on a well-earned penalty. The next game was played against Okeeheelee FC, who were a much stronger and faster team, yet our boys were valiant in their matchup, holding the lead throughout the first 45 minutes on a direct kick goal by Fabio Dantuono. The boys played extremely well and controlled most of the match, but because of injuries the team had less players available and tired out…ultimately allowing 2 goals in the second half to fall 2-1. In our last match, we had to go up against CES Juventus once again, and being an early morning game with our depleted team, the boys were totally exhausted. However, with great pride our boys gave a great fight but lost out in the end. The squad ended in the 3rd place, a very successful performance at this yearly event.

This weekend, our FUTSOC ENIGMA team, with a handful of guest players from the FUTALAN squads, performed admirably in winning the 2018 IMG Cup & College Showcase. Winning three straight matches by 4::0, 5::1 and 2::1 margins, our boys were clearly superior to the competition and served as our final tournament prep, prior to traveling to the 2018 Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup. Scoring eleven goals and only giving up 2, the performances were overwhelmingly in our favor. Congratulations to our tenacious and talented young group!
Note: Earlier this year, our FUTSOC FUTALAN Grey squad won the IMG Invitational with totally dominating performances as well.
February 28th, 2018
This last week, our ENIGMA Reserves (comprised of top youth players in our club and several guest players being evaluated, vying for spots on the famed FUTSOC ENIGMA squad) traveled to Palm Beach, Florida, to participate in the renowned 2018 Rated Sports Florida Coast Cup – Worldwide Showcase.
An excellent tournament, attended by our boys as an evaluation event for the upcoming IMG College Showcase, the Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup and the ENIGMA Cup, was won handily against some very solid competition. With only one goal conceded in four matches, by our 17-year-old goalkeeper – Nehomar “Chi Chi” Lugo, the opponents were very frustrated, finding it very difficult to penetrate our back line, which further limited shots on goal to only seven for the entire event. The games allowed the coaching staff to amply assess multiple options and potential selections for the upcoming events. With final scores of 10::0, 4:;1, 2::0 and 3::0, our boys earned a well deserved championship at this most successful tournament.
Congratulations to our young men!!

This weekend our FUTSOC FUTALAN Yellow U14 boys traveled to Naples, Florida to compete in the Dimitri Cup Soccer Tournament. Opening with a heartbreaking 0::1 loss to Key Biscayne Soccer Club in the last minute of the match, our boys rebounded strongly, defeating a very strong Doral FC Red by a convincing 3::0 score. This revitalizing victory preserved our chances and hopes at qualifying from the group phase. The third and final match of the event for our fine squad, resulted in a disappointing loss to Palm Beach Gardens Predators U14 by the very minimal score of 1::2. This was a rewarding event which clearly demonstrated our teams continued develoipment and progress.

This weekend, the vaunted Chivas USA of Florida U20/21 squad visited our training facilities at Tequesta Trace Park in Weston, for our customary friendlies. A brilliant match, which was very close and even in the opening half, broke open in the second period, as Chivastook control of the midfield and excercised its dominance, to pull away for a final of 1::5. Congratulations to our very fine opponent!! A few selections are forthcoming, as we continue to evaluate regular and guest players for the upcoming events.
These same, which serve as player evaluation matches for both clubs, are an essential part of our programming, in which players are brought in from overseas and managed in a full travel club environment. Various facets are presented to the players, which provide them with a real sense of “life on the road” so to speak. Among those conditions experienced are: the intercity travel, late night / early rise competitions, loneliness, boredom, daily routines and the general rigors of being a part of an upper-level or semi-pro soccer club. These obstacles and inconveniences are a daily part of soccer athletes lives in the upper ranks beyond youth soccer. They must learn to adapt and assimilate if they are to succeed.
In the coming weeks and months, FUTSOC will be traveling to Chivas for another series of matches and evaluations effected by incoming top level EPL Club Staff.

Yesterday, January 12th we were pleasantly surprised by the spontaneous visit of one of our most celebrated alumnus – Alejandro Bedoya. An original member of the powerful FUTSOC / USL Super Y – League teams of the early 2000’s and a St. Thomas Aquinas H.S. graduate, he went on to stellar careers in college at Farleigh Dickinson University and then to Boston College, where he obtained his undergraduate degree.
Alejandro’s stellar career began to unfold when he joined Orebro SK of the Swedish 1st Division. After a two year stint with this club, and a brief tryout with Birmingham City of the English Premier League, he was signed to Glasgow Rangers FC of the Scottish Premier League for approximately one year, before transferring to Helsingborgs IF in the Swedish League, where he had a very successful though brief run and had the opportunity to play UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League group play. Newly promoted Nantes FC of the French Ligue 1 became his next opportunity, where he played from 2013 through 2016 and led the proud club to a fourth place finish in his first year. Currently, Alejandro now plays for Philadelphia Union of the MLS.
During this professional tenure, Alejandro has been called up to represent the United States Men’s National Team a total of 66 times, from 2010 through the 2017 season, and in the process, has represented the U.S. in the 2011 and 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup as well as, the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Alejandro, we are so very proud of your endeavors and share in your pride, for the many outstanding accomplishments attained during your storied career. You are a young man of great vision, intelligence, technical excellence, dedication and humility, and we are very proud to have had you grace our club during your early formative years! Thank you very much for surprisingly stopping by to visit with some of our current players…you have “planted” the dream in their hearts and minds as well!

The IMG Invitational Tournament can be a grueling experience but the FUTSOC FUTALAN GRAY U19 squad made their game performances during the weekend look simple. The team was led by our very talented Coach Howen Hernandez calling extremely effective offensive and defensive strategies.
The first game challenger was Shore FC Juventus from Maryland. Our FUTSOC victory score was a complicated 2 – 1 win, with unbelievable highlights maneuvered by Miguel Roa, Nico Tovar, Jose Colina, Andres Polonia and Ronaldo Belgrove. Midfielder, Tony Sanchez scored the winning goal with a textbook header. Goalie, Christopher Caicedo, came up with some clutch saves as the game was expiring.
The final game was played versus a local home town team, Davie Sharks. The Sharks started the game with a lot of energy just to find themselves frustrated by the possession game exhibited by FUTSOC, which executed their game plan to perfection resulting in a dominating 5::0 victory. Impressive plays were made by Ronaldo Belgrove who scored 4 goals for the second game in a row, Benedick Marcano scoring the opener and Adam Bensch making an incredible save on the goal line to keep the clean sheet.
The teamwork and skill displayed by FUTSOC throughout the tournament was beyond impressive. Coach Hernandez is eagerly looking forward to the remainder of the season where he is confident the team will continue demonstrating their amazing talents on the field.

This last weekend, our U20 FUTSOC FUTALAN (EVAL) squad competed in the renowned event, sponsored and promoted by the City of Lauderhill. Among the elite guest teams invited along with our club, were national squads: U20 Jamaica, U20 Barbados, U20 Trinidad & Tobago, Spartan FC and the host team CASA U20. The prestigious event, which is held yearly at the Lauderhill Soccer Complex, was most competitive, with the two groups producing the finalists to the event – U20 Jamaica and FUTSOC FUTALAN (EVAL).
This exciting championship match, proved to be a very competitive game in the first half, with the superbly talented Caribbean squad taking a slight 1:0 lead at the ‘45 mark of a defensive error by our squad on a counter attack. During the first 15 minutes of the second half, the reggae boys took a greater control of the match, setting off plays from the blazing counterattacks, resulting in another goal to take a 2::0 lead. Our boys, began taking more control of the match in the second part of the second half, however, it was too little too late! With minutes remaining, forward Carlos Pan scored a beautiful volley kick off a perfectly guided cross from left wing back Alejandro Pages. The final score resulted in a 2::1 victory by the strong, dynamic Jamaican team.
In previous group action, the FUTSOC FUTALAN (EVAL) started the tournament with a convincing victory over the Trinidad & Tobago U20 by the score of 2::1 on goals by Marco Wehrhahn and Sebastian Navia. A two goal lead by our boys was held until the 80th minute when ample substitutions were made (giving the entire squad participation in the opening round event), allowing our respected opponent to cut the lead. However, the outcome was never in doubt as FUTSOC dominated action the entire match, from beginning to end. In the 2nd scheduled match, our expected opponent – Barbados U20, was unable to attend the event due to visa conflicts with immigration and thus resulted in a 3:0 forfeit victory for our team. The third match of the first round resulted in a thrashing of Spartan FC by a lopsided 3::0 win on the strength of scores by center midfielder Daniel Najul, midfielder/forward Jorge Cataldo and center-back Sebastian Podgaetz.
The 3rd place match was played between CASA U20 and Trinidad & Tobago U20, with the former winning by a convincing score of 3::0.
Compliments are extended to the entire team for such a successful run at this event, against some top level competition, especially to the solid play of our defense and outstanding goalkeeping by our youngest team member – Nehomar “Chi Chi” Lugo.
Congratulations FUTSOC!!

This last weekend, Wayland Baptist University (WBU), attained the most improbable ending to their very exciting season, winning the 2017 NAIA National Soccer Championships, with a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Missouri Valley on Saturday night., at the Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach, Florida.
The very talented WBU squad, led by their highly regarded coach, Cristhian Ospina, made their way through the entire event as the only unseeded team, upsetting four highly ranked teams to attain the coveted national title.
FUTSOC ENIGMA’s own Federico Ucar from Montevideo, Uruguay – a world-class defender, enrolled as a freshman this season, scored the “Golden Goal” header with 1 minute, 42 seconds left in the second OT to lift the 23rd-ranked Pioneers. This was the 7th goal for the outstanding defender this season.
This national championship comes after nearly a decade since WBU introduced men’s soccer in 2009. Coach Ospina has served as player for the duration of his collegiate experience and then, as Head Coach, since 2013.
WBU was one of only three unseeded teams (16 schools were seeded in the 32-team national championship bracket) to make it past the opening round and to the final site in Florida.
WBU swept the all-tournament superlative awards with our own freshman, Federico Ucar, being named Outstanding Offensive Player, junior goalkeeper Ziggy Camejo of the Bronx, N.Y., Outstanding Defensive Player, and junior midfielder Lochlan Reus of Gold Coast, Australia, the Most Valuable Player. Joining them on the all-tournament team was junior forward Ricardo Ramos of Portugal. Federico Ucar was also the recipient of the Freshman of the Year award and a member of the 2017 NAIA Nationals All-Tournament team.
WBU, a long-standing pipeline option of FUTSOC, for higher education and soccer ambitions of youth players, ends the season on a 12-match unbeaten streak and a superb 17-5-3 record.

The vaunted Chivas Florida Futbol Academy from Bradenton, Florida visited the City of Weston, bringing its U19 Select Squad for a friendly against our 2017 FUTSOC EVAL – U19 men’s squad. The much-anticipated match, held at FUTSOC’s facility at Tequesta Trace Park, was an extremely competitive game between two of the most formidable clubs of the last decade in Florida and nationally, and ended in a 1::1 tie. The match, which always plays out as a titanic event – given our historic games of years past. This same, served as a player evaluation for both sides – under our joint cooperation agreement, which dates back to 2014 and showed great promise with excellent performances on both sides. Our next match is expected to play out at Bradenton facilities of Chivas Florida in late November, at a date to be announced.

This last weekend our FUTSOC club was proudly represented by our FUTSOC FUTALAN Yellow U12, U14, U16 and U18/19 squads, at the Soccer Skills Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament, held at various locations throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
In what constitutes our first event of the new season, our FUTSOC FUTALAN Yellow U18 squad, won the Championship match against a formidable West Florida Flames FC side, by the score of 2::1. Inspired by a convincing 3-0 record in group play, which included a strong victory over nemesis Weston FC by the score of 3::1, it opened the path to the eventual triumph at this highly respected event.
Our FUTSOC FUTALAN Yellow U14 squad, reached the 3rd place match of the same event on the strength of group play victories over Parkland FC, Miami FC and a tie with Doral FC – Blue. In the Silver Final, our team jumped into an early lead and flooded the opponents net with 3 unanswered goals, holding that lead intact until late into the second half, where we substituted liberally, and the opponent scored with less than a minute remaining on the clock…resulting in a 3::1 victory over a fine Doral FC team.
Strong performances by our FUTSOC FUTALAN Yellow U16 (eliminated by goal differential in group play), which looked in very strong form at such an early juncture of this season, and the surprising competitiveness of our FUTSOC FUTALAN Yellow U12 (our very young squad comprised mostly of U11 players at their first event ever with two losses and a 1::1 tie) rounded out the very competitive presence by our club as a whole!
Overall, this was an outstanding start to our very young and promising season. With only a few weeks of training, we held our own against much larger clubs that have been active since mid-August.
We urge you all to follow up on our website for upcoming scheduled events for all teams during November and December.
Congratulations to all!

Former FUTSOC ENIGMA standout attacking midfielder Romilaire Ambroise, has been playing in the Haitian National Leagues (Ligue Haitienne) and being considered the new revelation in that countries’ professional soccer leagues. A two-time player of the year and leading scorer, according to the Sun Sentinel, he played his high school soccer at Deerfield H.S. under coach Frantz Edouard and was a four-year veteran of internationally famed FUTSOC ENIGMA. Romilaire later attended Darton College in Georgia and now has been “possessing” the professional leagues of his native country – Haiti.
