Our FUTSOC FUTALAN U15 boys, competed in the 2022 Sharks Cup and Showcase this last weekend, bringing home the Championship cup with a thrilling 0::0 (3:1) victory over the powerful Davie United SC squad.

Starting with a 0::3 loss to the eventual finalists, we were grossly undermanned with five of our regular starters out for assorted reasons and only a pair of substitutes on the bench. Changing our mindset and reorganizing the tactical alignment, Coach Francisco shuffled positions and defensive/offensive strategies, which gave the team a solid chance to overcome these weaknesses in the second match. The result was a 1::0 victory over a well-coached and organized Herron Academy FC team. In match three, our boys met a favored Doral Academy FC team, which after back-and-forth attacks and stingy defensive play, resulted in a 0::0 tie to propel us into the eventual final.
