FUTSOC – Finalists of the 2023 Sharks Cup

This weekend, our FUTSOC FUTALAN U17 boys squad participated in the 2023 Davie Sharks Cup in Davie Florida.
Entered in the high school division with U19 clubs, while being a much younger team, our boys reached the championship final on the strength of two victories and one loss (after a rain soaked 2::6 loss to Doral Premier FC, a 2::1 victory over Team Boca, and then a 3::2 victory over Weston Select FC to secure the final).
The championship match was played in soaring temperatures, the fourth match in two days of the event. A hard fought contest from the very start, between the two very talented teams, ended in a 3::1 victory for the quality opponent, on the strength of a couple of quick strike counter attacks.
Congratulations to our young group of boys, who competed in a much older classification with a finalist result!
