Who is the Amateur Academy designed for?
The Amateur Academy is designed for elite-level players who demonstrate a high capacity for advanced soccer knowledge, tactical understanding, and competitive development.
Is this program connected to the UPSL pathway?
Yes. FUTSOC is part of the United Premier Soccer League pathway, and this program represents the highest level of the FUTSOC player development pyramid. It provides ambitious players with an opportunity to continue their growth beyond youth soccer and progress into the amateur competitive environment. At FUTSOC, player development does not end at 18.
What level of experience is recommended?
A strong background in high-level competitive soccer is recommended to compete and be considered for acceptance into the Amateur Academy and UPSL environment.
How competitive are the training sessions?
Training sessions are highly technical, physically demanding, and intensely competitive. Players are challenged through fast-paced exercises, tactical game scenarios, positional development, and high-level decision-making activities designed to replicate the demands of the amateur and semi-professional game. Sessions are built to push players both mentally and physically while maintaining a professional training environment.
